His adept mediation enabled me, a senior leader with 25 years of management experience in UK Higher Education, to navigate a complex and difficult professional dynamic. Kevin worked with me and a member of my leadership team with grace and professionalism, bringing us together to have difficult but productive conversations. He practised with professional discretion and great sensitivity. I trust him absolutely. His guidance led to a harmonious resolution that met the professional and personal needs of all parties.” “Kevin has completed several workplace mediations for Oxford Brookes so far this year, and the feedback from parties is consistently good. In each case, Kevin has helped parties move their situation along towards resolution and helped them improve their working relationship.” “Kevin put a huge amount of work into making certain that he understood all the issues involved and explaining the mediation process before we even began the mediation. This meant that we could focus on working towards resolving our problem. It also helped our panel to trust him.” “I would like to thank Kevin for the way that he defused the situation when we both lost our tempers. I thought that we were going to fail because of this but he managed to calm us down and redirected us to look at the issues constructively.” “I had not really expected us to reach a settlement. Thank you for the huge effort that you put into helping us to get there Kevin. Initially, I was worried that you would impose a settlement on us, but I never felt that during the process. Rather, I found your saying that it was ‘our dispute’, and the ‘settlement would be ours’, to be true. Thank you for your helpful nature in facilitating us to reach our settlement ourselves.” |
